How to Apply

Applications to the Collaboration Fund are managed through Calls. There are three calls per annum.  Please refer to the Call Schedule section of this website for further details.

Once the EOI is complete, please send this via email to collaborationfund@financesoutheast.com no later than 5pm on the closing date for the call. The EoI will be reviewed within 2 weeks and you may be invited to submit a Full Application.

If you are invited to submit a Full Application, the Principal Contact will be notified via email and the Full Application document will be sent to you. You must return the Full Application within 4 weeks of receiving your invitation to apply. A Heads of Terms agreement* outlining the basis of the collaboration will be required with the full application (and a full, signed collaboration agreement must be in place before the research project begins).

*We recommend the use of the Lambert Collaborative Agreements that have been designed to encourage university and industry collaboration and the sharing of knowledge.  Please see www.innovation.gov.uk/lambertagreements for further details. However, applicants may choose another format that is acceptable to both collaborating parties.

FSE will inform the Principal Contact if the Full Application suitably meets the investment criteria and if the application has been approved. Successful applicants will receive their financial support as an EPSRC grant.

Should you have any queries about the application process please contact Asim Zahir at Finance South East via email: asim.zahir@financesoutheast.com or telephone 01276 607304, or Dr Samantha Decombel, Fund Manager, at  samantha.decombel@financesoutheast.com , telephone 07775 420125.
